Introduction to Counselling

During the course of my work in counselling, coaching and consultancy I am often asked “How do I become a counsellor”? For some it is only about using counselling skills in their current role in HR, Management, Consultancy, Medicine, Teaching, Guidance and Support. For others counselling will become a profession.

The workshop Nightingale offers runs over 1 day, by the end of the day you will have an understanding of the:-

• The 3 skills used in every counselling relationship
• Different models of counselling
• The best route to training as a counsellor
• The personal vocational assessment
• Personal development plan of action
• The role Nightingale can play
• The cost of the training day is £80

When you are qualified you will be invited to join a counselling forum, which means you are part of a counselling network whether you decide to work with an organisation or become a practitioner in private practice. The forum also enables you to share difficulties, information, opportunities for work Nightingale also refers work to other counsellors who work under the umbrella of Nightingale.

Supervision is offered to counsellors in training.
