COUPLE COUNSELLING
Couple Counselling helps clients to express their feelings and emotions honestly in a controlled environment. Another aspect of Couple Counselling is for couples to learn how to break negative patterns and cycles of behaviour from the past which impact in the present and encourages a deeper level of understanding and self awareness. One issue all couples have in common is that past relationships with parents and peers feature heavily on how they conduct their present couple relationship.
Couple Counselling is concerned with the whole person individually and as part of a couple. It looks at all aspects of feelings, thinking, emotions, attitudes, behaviours, as well as the significant relationships around them. It helps to shape plans for the future so that everybody can achieve their full potential individually or as part of a couple.
For some, a particular crisis takes them in to Couple Counselling. For others, there is the realisation that they are unhappy with their relationship. Constant bickering leads to frustration and a deep sense of sadness. Couple counselling is a very effective way to ensure you are both heard.
Clients can feel secure in the knowledge that the relationship between counsellor and client is confidential based on trust, integrity, empathy, respect and honesty.
Following an initial consultation, lasting 55 minutes, the work best suited to your personal circumstances will be determined. In some cases, it is possible to anticipate how many sessions will be required to resolve issues.
